AMBASSADOR’S MESSAGE

Dear Batswana Friends,

As of 13 January 2023 I have arrived in Gaborone to assume my duty. I am very happy to be in this beautiful country and looking forward to meeting and interacting with the friendly people of Botswana. I hope to bring closer the peoples of Türkiye and Botswana especially through economic, social and cultural ties.

The Turkish Embassy will continue work together with all officials and relevant stakeholders to further develop bilateral relations in all fields between our friendly countries. I and my colleagues are always ready for a close and fruitful cooperation.

At the same time I have been appointed as the Representative of the Republic of Türkiye to the Southern African Development Community (SADC), whose Secretariat is based in Gaborone. Türkiye also wishes to strengthen multilateral ties with SADC member countries.
